Oh! Well… I must say it was an interesting post xD
I met Kuja aswell… But I tell you.. currently, he’s one of my favourite roleplayers in Argent Dawn. Of course I was really freaked out when I saw a “supposed” roleplayer runing around… And his name was in fact “Kuja” – Kuja Tribal, when I met him..
I found that a reason to meet him… Which I found interesting.. He told me it was the first character he created… Even before he knew what roleplay was.. And when he discovered… He didn’t know the rules xD
I tell you now.. The last time I roleplayed with him, he was a quite fascinating. I also tried to make him change the “Barov” surname… What he said he couldn’t do, for it has already been added to his character.. so it would be stupid and freaky to change it… From what I heard, he hides the surname, refering himself Kuja “Something” (Which I don’t remember , but it’s also different from Tribal, for he made something IC’ly, losing the title, aswell.. xD). He’s still freaky, but I can say he is learning fast.. – About the comment… My god, I had a great time reading it xD

It is sickening, but remember that the entire point of this site is to bitch about how things aren’t done ‘their way’. Whether it be the official lore, or someone’s interpretation of it for their own character. Nothing about this place is rational or objective, nor was it ever.

‘Wow, the official lore sucks! Burn it!’

‘Hey, that guy isn’t following the official lore that we just acknowledged to be sucky! Burn him/her/it!’

That was AMAZING. I was beaming about halfway through and saying it out loud and I think my upstairs neighbours may have been disturbed. Thank you for… for this. It made the RSP itself slightly less agonizing.

I don’t really see it as a spit in the fact to all RPers…
If you look, elves probably have more lore than most other races because they do weave in with the Night Elves.
“Leave it to Blizzard to be lazy with the lore. No wonder the RP on World of Warcraft is dwindling..” Lazy… I wouldn’t call it lazy. The focus is on, and always will be on, the raiders and PvPers. That’s the larger demographic. All in all, Blizzard is a business. Money is blood.
Before you say “They could have waited a little longer until they had something good.” One) It was a contest winning entry… that’s good.
Two) It may not be a new story, but… as said above, it is new lore.
Three) They try to appease the RP demographic when they can. With the preparation for Pandaria, the current game itself, and every thing they have going on at once… Yeah, we get left out in the rain every now and then. Instead of complaining about how your fancy new overpriced shoes are getting soaked, be thankful it hasn’t started hailing.
Four) Larger demographic will win out. That’s where most of the money comes from. Bears repeating.

And no, RP is dwindling, not at Blizzard’s fault… but at the RP’ers fault. Our demographic is the hardest to please… and don’t you dare lie and say it’s not. New lore comes in, people are going to be unhappy about it one way or the other. It could fix every single problem in the Warcraft universe, and someone would still find something to complain about…. and you -know- their friends would too. And their friends. And their friends, then people just jumping on the bandwagon.

You cannot change the lore. You can only roll with it.

Before you accuse me of being a Blizzard fanboy. They turned the character I enjoyed most from Warcraft into a pansy. They made the son of the greatest Orc hero into a power hungry idiot. They put the equivalent of a whiny teenager with a bow at the helm of the Forsaken. My favorite character introduced from vanilla is no where to be seen. They killed off my second favorite character… And they made the human king a chin with two legs and a temper problem.

I am neutral to the Blizzard company.
No, they don’t get my $15 a month from me or my girlfriend.
I just find the complaining -very- sickening.

I’d also like to point out it says specifically “New -Lore-”.
While it is not a new story, it is new to canonical lore.
